Step 1: Buy pre-rolled ham from your local butcher.
Step 2: Poach it in chicken stock if available; if not, water will be just fine if flavoured with onions, carrots, thyme, rosemary, bayleaf, cloves and black peppercorns.
Step 3: Simmer for 2 hours for a 5 kg piece of ham. Allow to cool. Remove skin.
